Andreas Mikkelsen was presented with the Rally Magazin Rally Driver of the Year Award during the Sibiu Rally in Romania.Similar to the Autosport Awards in the UK, the ŠKODA UK Motorsport pilot was voted the top rally driver for 2011 – beating rivals from the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, FIA World Rally Championship and Romanian National Rally Championships.
“It’s always nice to win an award and I really appreciate the support from the fans in Romania,” said Andreas. “We had a great result in Sibiu and I’m looking forward to returning to compete in Romania one day, because for me it was a really nice experience.”
